Concert for Passover

Singing in a concert of Passover-themed music, led by Dr. Noreen Green as conductor and Dr. Ayse Taspinar Gatenyo as featured piano soloist. Held at the Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel. Jennifer is a soloist in the cantata “Jocheved,” from the oratorio work Women of Valor by Andrea Clearfield. Proceeds from the concert benefit earthquake relief in Turkey.

Concert: Music and Justice

Singing in a concert of Jewish and social justice-themed music, featuring Dave Brubeck’s ground-breaking oratorio Gates of Justice. The performance features Cantor Azi Schwartz and Phillip Bullock as soloists, and Dave Brubeck’s sons Darius Brubeck, Chris Brubeck, and Dan Brubeck as the jazz trio. Other works include world premieres by Diane White-Clayton and Arturo O’Farrill. Sponsored by the Lowell Milken Center for Music of American Jewish Experience.

Master Class at Pasadena Conservatory of Music

Jennifer leads a master class at Pasadena Conservatory of Music, focusing on contemporary American song. Six advanced-level students from the PCM Vocal Arts Department will participate. Open to the public.

King of Kings Concert

Jennifer sings in this concert, sung with a full orchestra, which features the King of Kings Choral Suite by Miklos Rozsa, along with Five Mystical Songs by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The 2pm concert will be preceded by a pre-concert lecture by Dr. Daniel Robbins. Conducted by Jack Lantz and held at La Cañada Presbyterian Church.

Jennifer joins the cast of Bagels! The Musical for a staged reading in Long Beach.  Book and lyrics are by Chana Wise, and music is by Carl Johnson.  Set within the Los Angeles Jewish community in the 1960s, Bagels! describes the creation of the first automated bagel-making machine.

Three Short Operas from Independent Opera Company

Vier Letzte Lieder by Strauss

Singing Vier Letzte Lieder (“Four Last Songs”), the final collection of songs by Richard Strauss.  An exploration of mortality, the German-language song set has been adapted by Aram Arakelyan in a new orchestration for soprano and chamber ensemble.

Così fan Tutte by Mozart

The Christians by Lucas Hnath

Appearing in The Christians, a west coast premiere produced by Center Theatre Group at the Mark Taper Forum at the Los Angeles Music Center.  Set in an evangelical megachurch, The Christians is a drama that explores the mystery of faith. Tickets are available here.

HOPSCOTCH: A Mobile Opera

Appearing in HOPSCOTCH, a world premiere from award-winning experimental opera company The Industry.  Collaboratively created with six composers and six writers, Hopscotch tells an original story of a disappearance across time.  Audiences can experience the work in both the intimacy of a car, where artists and audiences share a confined space; or for free in a large central hub, where all the journeys are live-streamed to create a dizzying panorama of life in Los Angeles.  Watch the trailer.
